July 2026 – Online Video Demonstration on Morning Glory Flowers

Description

Few flowers feel as exciting as morning glories opening at sunrise. Their trumpet-shaped blooms catch the first light, then gently close

later in the day.

The demonstration will include the making of a fully open Morning Glory flower as well as the bud and the foliage. The shape of the trumped is achieved through a complex pattern that looks nothing we have tried before.

The vine structure of Morning Glory lends itself well to circlets, headpieces and hat trims very naturally, hwever other accessories can also be made with this exciting bloom.

Morning Glory comes in a number of vivid colours including true blue.

This demonstration is suitable for students of any level, however previous experience in flower making is really helpful.

A number of flower shaping tools is going to be used to achieve the necessary 3D shaping on the flower parts.

At  the end of the talk Svetlana will answer your burning questions, if there are any left.
