Description
Traditionally the month of December is filled with fun and enjoyment, festivities and lots of creative acitivities, so I have decided to dedicate it to making some less conventional yet super cute and very wearable flower shapes in the form of … medals.
It’s time to dig out all your ribbons, braids, random buttons, laeftover fancy fabrics and get ready to create a selection of flower medals.
The demonstration will include the making of several smaller flower shapes in a variety of fabrics like tweeds, velvet, metallic fabrics etc. A number of bows and finishes for your flower medals will also be covered. These medals can be worn as brooches, stylised bow ties etc.
The shapes that are planned to be included:
- stylised star dahlia
- stylised camellia
- stylised flowering dogwood
- stylised nigella
This demonstration is suitable for students of any level, however previous experience in flower making as well as general crafting might helpful.
A number of flower shaping tools is going to be used to achieve the necessary 3D shaping on the flower parts (round ball tools, single knife, extra narrow tool, tweezers etc).
At the end of the talk Svetlana will answer your burning questions, if there are any left.
