Description
Fashion flowers are becoming more and more stylised and monochrome, less “botanical” and more “fashionable”. This is understandable: such flowers are easier to wear and combine with outfits, hats and other accessories.
My new video tutorial is on one of such stylised yet nature inspired (always!) flowers. Meet my new Spider Chrysanthemum Video Tutorial, with the help of which you can make a flower out of either leather of fabric.
Seemingly straightforward, this chrysanthemum offers many variations in size, look and materials it can be made of. In the video I am explaining how to make 2 different centres for your flower and as well as share the ideas on how you can make your flowers more or less full, smaller or larger in diameter. A lot will also depend on your materials and shaping style.
I hope you will find the techniques, tips and tricks in this tutorial useful and applicable to other flowers you make. I suggest you pay close attention to the finishing of the flower and turning it into a brooch.
This demonstration is suitable for students of any level, no previous experience is needed.
You will need only ONE TOOL for making this Spider Chrysanthemum. In case if you wish to use flower shaping tool as I am showing in the video, I highly recommend this Knife tool available at https://presentperfectcreations.com/product/japanese-knife-shaping-tool/
Here are the tools and supplies required for the Spider Chrysanthemum:
